About Sanwa products
Why growers choose it
- 01
62% organic matter — a soil builder first and a feed second.
- 02
Neutral to slightly alkaline, so it suits ground that has been worked hard.
- 03
Sold by volume in 20L and 40L bags, which is how a bed is measured.
How to use Sanwa Fertilizer
Using it is three steps
Simple application. Consistent results.
01Prepare the bed
Before planting, clear weeds and loosen the soil so it can take the compost.
02Work it in
Mix it through the top 15–20cm. Left on the surface it works far more slowly.
03Water, then let it rest
Water after spreading and leave it a while before sowing or transplanting.

Questions growers ask
Why litres rather than kilograms?
Because a bed is measured by volume. For reference, 20L weighs about 8.5kg and 40L about 17kg.
Can I add it to the same field every year?
It is meant for continuous soil building, but nutrients accumulate. Have the soil tested every few years and adjust what you put on.
Will it help soil that has gone acidic?
The latest lot measured pH 7.8 — neutral to slightly alkaline — which suits ground that has gone sour. If you also lime, work from a soil test.
How is it different from the chicken pellet?
The cow manure is slow — 62% organic matter, worked in before planting. The chicken pellet is fast and high in nitrogen, scattered mid-season. Different jobs; most growers use both.
Can I put it on over winter?
Yes — before planting is what matters, and many growers like to let it settle into the soil early.
How heavy is it, and how does it ship?
40L is about 17kg. It goes by courier; enter your postcode above and the page gives you the delivery cost.
