What it's for
Top-dressing mid-season: leafy greens that have stopped growing away, fruiting vegetables coming into flower, field crops between cuts.
When to apply
During the season, scattered between rows and watered in — not at planting.
Handling and storage
Keep the pellets off stems and leaves, and water after spreading. Store sealed — pellets soften if they take up moisture.

About Sanwa products
Why growers choose it
- 01
Pelleted, so it spreads evenly by hand and does not blow across the row.
- 02
Dry at 12.5% moisture — an opened bag keeps between applications.
- 03
The highest nitrogen of the three, measured and published per lot.
How to use Sanwa Fertilizer
Using it is three steps
Simple application. Consistent results.
01Wait for the crop to be growing
This is a top dressing, not a base dressing. Apply once plants are established and pushing growth.
02Scatter between the rows
Keep the pellets off stems and leaves — roughly a hand's width from the plant, spread evenly.
03Water it in
Pellets break down with moisture. Water after spreading, or apply before rain is forecast.
Before you order
Questions growers ask
Will it burn the plant if I put it at the base?
Keep it a hand's width from the stem and off the leaves — it is concentrated, and direct contact can scorch. Water in after spreading.
My dog or cat might eat the pellets.
Rake them lightly into the soil or water them in after spreading. Pellets left sitting on the surface are what attract an interested animal.
Can I use it on a lawn?
Yes. Always water it in, and make sure no pellets are left sitting on the blades — where they sit dry, the dose concentrates.
Can I use it as a base dressing?
It is designed as a top dressing. For building soil before planting, the cow manure or Piggypost composts suit better.
The pellets are still sitting there.
They break down with moisture. In a dry spell they simply wait — water after spreading, or put them on before rain.
Does it smell?
Far less than raw manure — the pellets are dried to 12.5% moisture. Expect an earthy smell for a day or two after watering in.
Is the 5kg or the 15kg better value?
The 15kg is cheaper per kilogram. 5kg suits pots and a small plot; 15kg suits beds and field rows.
